It only makes them cry louder, that's how I feel on the stance the U.S.A is taking towards the middle east. It's like the war on communism, eventually it'll go cold no fighting lots of spying though and then before you know it it'll be over and then it'll be time to move onto the next enemy buzz word.

Why are influential men such idiots.

Just a rant no hard facts here at all.

We must make people realize the concept of freedom

I was listening to Bush on the news and he's going on about making people realize about freedom. His replies to reporters keep circling around the same subject, the spreading of "freedom". His speeches never bring any new ideas to the plate, "we must make people realize the concept of freedom" I'm not to good on the fancy book learning but isn't that statement an oxymoron or double negative or something.

I'm not sure if he's talking about Lebanon or his previous efforts, if he's talking about the latter he's given the Iraqi people the freedom to kill each other and if he's talking about Lebanon, well all I've seen is a country that as Muslims, Jewish and Christians living side by side and dieing side by side seems pretty free to me.

With the total annihilation of Lebanon taking place before our eyes I'm just waiting for the moment when the U.S and Brits step up and say "oops to late"

The rebuilding of Lebanon after the war is over is probably going to cost trillions and I'm thinking that most of the people who fled these areas probably won't go back, leaving a bunch of free land for Israel to patrol.

Reduced to Collateral damage

Watching the news tonight I realized that I had grown up a little. I live in New Zealand and it seems none of the world issues ever seem to impact on us.

I see what is happening around the world through New Zealands news programs, I tend to stay clear of the Fox news type channels because they seem to have biased agendas.

While watching the New Zealand news channels they reported on the recent Israeli bombing which claimed over 50 lives, they showed rolling footage of about five of the dead being removed from the rubble and all were children, this is when I realized that I had grown up. I have recently become an uncle and I can't help but see my niece in the places of these victims of war. It just seems so evil, people reduced to Collateral damage.

The last feel good story that I remember coming out of the middle east was probably a year or two ago, it was about how artists in Iraq were finally free to paint what ever they wanted. Seemed a little phony at the time and still seems like utter bull.

I created this blog awhile ago and hadn't posted to it, I guess I didn't know how to approach it, I think I do now. I hope to find and show footage that most of us rarely get to see, home movie kind of stuff, Nothing graphic. You'll get an idea of what I mean after a few posts on this blog.
